Jacob Schmidt
Executive Director, TrueNU
Jacob was hired as TrueNU’s Executive Director in December 2022.
After spending ten years working for Northwestern Football overseeing both player development and operations, Jacob has a vast amount of knowledge and experience within student-athlete development, alumni relations, and department operations. His relationships with key stakeholders within the Evanston, Chicagoland, and NU communities should prove invaluable as he leads the collective’s day to day efforts to amplify the causes of our charitable partners.
Jacob went from walk-on to starting running back for the Wildcats between 2007 and 2011 before joining Coach Fitzgerald’s staff in 2012. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Education and Social Policy and a Masters in Higher Education Administration from NU.
He and his wife, Hallie, are proud parents of three amazing children: Emmett, Cameron, and Madison.
